Beacon Bimonthlies 8

Mik Godley Horst Mahler's Eyes (version 2 [103]) 2011

Mik Godley Horst Mahler's Eyes (version 2 [103]) 2011

An evening of artists' presentations and interventions with Mik Godley, Thomas Bartlett and The Monks Gallery: Tom Cretney and Nick Simpson.

Nottingham based artist, Mik Godley began the evening with a presentation that covered the development of his work and practice. This was followed by Leicester based artist, Thomas Bartlett, who talked about his practice since graduation from The University of Lincoln. Next were guests Tom Cretney and Nick Simpson, also graduates from The University of Lincoln, who have pursued their practice as Lincoln based artists. Dissatisfied with the lack of contemporary artist led activity in Lincolnshire they opened The Monks Gallery in their home in Lincoln.
